Creative actions—sometimes bold or even provocative—can change the way we think about the world. This is especially important in public spaces, where art can grab our attention and spark reflection. We plan to develop precisely these kinds of initiatives to strengthen critical thinking skills and make society more resilient to manipulation, propaganda, and misinformation. The better we understand the mechanisms shaping our perception, the more effectively we can protect ourselves from polarization and exclusion.

Media education is a process in which we learn to use information consciously—from recognizing reliable sources to analyzing hidden messages. Critical thinking, meanwhile, is the ability to reason independently, question seemingly obvious content, and draw well-founded conclusions based on credible data. In today’s world—marked by rapid changes and a flood of communication—these skills have become increasingly important. They help maintain a clear perspective and resist the pressure of disinformation, ultimately supporting social stability and unity.

The Urban Culture Institute – City of Weaves takes on this mission because we believe that culture can shape aware, responsible, and open-minded citizens. Through various forms of artistic expression—from happenings in urban landscapes to exhibitions and discussions—we aim to engage residents in learning how to identify manipulation. It is at the grassroots level of local initiatives and collective creation that real strength lies, helping overcome divisions and build a society more resilient to the challenges of the modern world.
